These Website Terms of Use (“Website Terms”) govern access to and use of public websites, webpages, marketing materials, blogs, resources, demos, forms, and other public online properties operated by AIDAN LLC, doing business as Legasus (“Legasus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) that link to these Website Terms (collectively, the “Website”).
If you access the Legasus software platform or paid services on behalf of a Customer, your use of those services is governed by the Legasus Master Subscription Agreement and applicable incorporated terms. If there is a conflict concerning paid Services, the Master Subscription Agreement controls.
1. Who May Use the Website
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to use the Website. The Website is directed principally to businesses and legal professionals and is not intended to provide consumer legal services.
If you use the Website on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for that organization with respect to your use.
2. Informational Purpose Only
The Website provides information about Legasus products, services, technology, security, compliance, artificial intelligence, legal operations, and related topics. Website content is for general informational and commercial purposes only.
Legasus is a technology company, not a law firm. Nothing on the Website constitutes legal advice, creates an attorney-client relationship, or should be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney. Legasus also does not provide medical, healthcare, tax, accounting, investment, insurance, or other regulated professional advice.
Articles, examples, templates, demonstrations, AI-generated material, research summaries, compliance descriptions, and other Website content may be incomplete, become outdated, or not apply to a particular jurisdiction, matter, customer, or use case. You are responsible for independent verification.
3. Product and Compliance Descriptions
Product descriptions are intended to explain generally available or planned functionality and do not create a contractual warranty unless expressly incorporated into an executed agreement.
Security, privacy, HIPAA, SOC 2, AI, uptime, data residency, integration, and compliance statements are subject to the applicable contractual documents, service configuration, eligibility requirements, and current implementation.
Without limiting the foregoing:
- a statement that Legasus supports HIPAA-related obligations does not mean every feature is HIPAA-eligible;
- a Business Associate Agreement applies only when executed and only to designated HIPAA-eligible services;
- references to SOC 2 while an examination is in progress do not represent that a final SOC 2 report has been issued;
- third-party integrations and databases may be subject to separate terms and availability; and
- beta, preview, pilot, or planned functionality may change or never become generally available.
4. Website Accounts, Forms, and Demo Requests
You agree to provide accurate information when submitting a demo request, contact form, newsletter signup, event registration, security request, or other Website form. You will not impersonate another person or organization or submit information you are not authorized to provide.
Legasus may contact you about your request, the Website, products, services, security, events, or related business matters in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
5. Website AI, Chat, or Automated Features
The Website may include chatbots, AI demonstrations, automated assistants, search tools, or other AI-enabled functionality. Any output is informational and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or generated from automated systems. Do not submit confidential client information, protected health information, privileged material, sensitive matter information, or other regulated data into a public Website feature unless the feature expressly states that such use is authorized under an applicable Customer agreement.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any automated output before relying on it.
6. Intellectual Property
The Website and its content, design, software, graphics, trademarks, logos, product names, text, videos, demonstrations, documentation, interfaces, models, workflows, and other materials are owned by Legasus or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Website Terms, Legasus grants you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access the Website for lawful business, evaluation, and informational purposes.
You may not, without prior written authorization:
- copy or republish substantial portions of the Website;
- sell, license, or commercially exploit Website content;
- use Website content to create a competing product or service;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract Website content except through ordinary search-engine indexing that respects applicable technical controls;
- reverse engineer or attempt to discover nonpublic software, models, prompts, APIs, or systems;
- remove proprietary notices; or
- use Legasus trademarks in a manner likely to imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
7. User Submissions and Feedback
If you submit a support-free contact message, proposal, idea, suggestion, feature request, or feedback through the Website, you grant Legasus a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use non-confidential feedback to develop, improve, market, and operate its products and business without compensation.
Do not send confidential, privileged, or proprietary information through a public Website form unless the form specifically indicates that such information will be handled under an applicable agreement.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You will not use the Website to:
- violate applicable law or another person's rights;
- transmit malware, destructive code, or harmful payloads;
- probe, scan, test, or exploit vulnerabilities except in accordance with the Legasus Responsible Disclosure Policy;
- interfere with the Website or another user's access;
- bypass access, rate, authentication, or security controls;
- submit false, fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful information;
- impersonate another person or organization;
- conduct unauthorized scraping, automated extraction, or denial-of-service activity;
- collect personal information about others without lawful authority;
- send spam or abusive communications; or
- use the Website to train, replicate, reverse engineer, or develop a competing AI or software service through systematic extraction of Legasus content or functionality.
9. Third-Party Websites and Resources
The Website may link to or display content from third-party websites, services, legal databases, social networks, publications, event platforms, or other resources. Legasus does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy, accuracy, or practices.
A link does not constitute an endorsement unless Legasus expressly says so. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that third party's terms.
10. Privacy and Cookies
The Legasus Privacy Policy explains how Legasus processes personal information. The Legasus Cookie Policy provides additional information about cookies, analytics, advertising technologies, and related choices.
11. Changes to the Website
Legasus may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Website at any time, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND ALL CONTENT, DEMONSTRATIONS, MATERIALS, AND PUBLIC FEATURES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” LEGASUS DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, AND RELIABILITY.
LEGASUS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, CURRENT, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR PURPOSE.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEGASUS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST BUSINESS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE WEBSITE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEGASUS'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE WEBSITE TO A PERSON WHO IS NOT USING IT UNDER A PAID CUSTOMER AGREEMENT WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Legasus and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the Website, your violation of these Website Terms, or material you submit through the Website in violation of another person's rights.
15. Suspension and Enforcement
Legasus may restrict or block access to the Website where reasonably necessary to protect security, enforce these Website Terms, comply with law, prevent abuse, or protect Legasus or others.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Website Terms are governed by Illinois law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Unless the parties separately agree otherwise, the state and federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to the Website, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue there.
17. Changes to These Website Terms
Legasus may update these Website Terms by posting a revised version. Changes become effective when posted or on a later date stated in the revised terms, subject to applicable law. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
18. General
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Website Terms and incorporated public policies constitute the agreement relating to use of the Website unless another Legasus agreement governs the specific activity.
